- Also use your common sense to avoid risks.
IMMEDIATELY BEFORE EACH USE ENSURE:
- Before each use, carry out a visual inspection; in particular, check and correct the following:
- Is the device safe and stable?
- Is the running belt sufficiently lubricated, centered, and sufficiently tensioned?
- Are all connections tight? (Screws, nuts, etc.)
- Is the cable intact?
- Is the area around the device free from accident hazards such as sharp-edged objects?
- If there is any defect in the device or the cable, do not use the device, secure it against any other use and arrange for it to be repaired.
- Use the device only with the correct electrical connection values and with the original cable with protective earthing. Do not use a power strip. Protect the cable from heat and mechanical damage.
- Only use the device with non-slip athletic shoes. Never wear high heels or spikes. Do not walk barefoot or in socks.
- If you use shoelaces, make sure they are short and tied tightly.
- Do not use the appliance with loose clothing, long shoelaces, or towels that could get caught.
- Do not use the device with jewelry or loose objects.
- Do not use the device under the influence of alcohol, medication or drugs.
DURING USE:
- The device may only be used by one person at a time.
- Use the safety clip correctly:
- Always securely fasten the safety clip to your clothing so that if you trip or accidentally step off the treadmill, it will reliably detach from the console. The running belt will then stop immediately.
- Keep the safety clip leash short; if necessary, shorten it with a loop.
- Only attach the safety clip to the console when the user is ready.
- Remove the safety clip immediately whenever you leave the console.
- Keep the security clip secured against unauthorized access.
- Entering and starting the device:
- Only enter the device when the running belt is stationary.
- Hold the handle with one hand and start the device at the lowest speed.
- When running on the device:
- Only increase speed when the user is walking safely. Change speed slowly. Use extreme caution when using the speed preset buttons.
- Never overexert yourself.
- Only walk forward; never sideways or backward.
- Do not stand on the moving running belt.
- In an emergency, pull the safety clip from the console. The running belt will stop immediately.
- Stopping and leaving the device:
- To stop, slowly reduce the speed until it comes to a standstill (Speed +/- buttons).
- Only exit the machine when the running belt is stopped. To do so, hold onto a handle and step off the side of the machine.
- Do not eat or drink on the device.
- Keep liquids and dirt away from the device.
- Do not use sprays on or near the device.
IMMEDIATELY AFTER USE:
- Remove the safety clip and store it securely to prevent unauthorized access.
- Turn off the switch next to the cable socket. Carefully unplug the power cable from the device.
- Perform another visual inspection: Is the device clean and intact?
CLEANING, MAINTENANCE, ADJUSTMENT AND STORAGE:
- Carry out maintenance tasks and adjustments regularly, but only in accordance with the instructions.
- When folding the running belt, do not reach between the parts of the device. Lock the running belt in the folded position.
- Never switch on the device when the running belt is folded up.
- Store the device, safety clip and power cable out of the reach of children and animals.
- Store the device in a dry, clean place and protected from frost, heat and sunlight.
